WHY YOU HAVE RECEIVED A PRESS RELEASE FROM US.
We email journalists from time to time whom we believe have an interest in the content of our press releases. One of the conditions of the new GDPR rules is that of ‘legitimate interests’. It is our reasonable interpretation that we are exercising a ‘legitimate interest’ in storing and processing journalist data, and contacting journalists to provide relevant information.
WHAT DATA WE COLLECT ABOUT YOU
The only data we collect and store is your email address. We do not hold or process any physical addresses, phone numbers, social media accounts or any other data.
HOW WE COLLECT YOUR PERSONAL DATA
We collect data about you primarily through media databases, who we understand in turn have sought your consent to publish contact details for public relations agencies such as ourselves. It is on this basis that we assume that consent to send you press releases has been granted.
HOW WE USE YOUR PERSONAL DATA
We will only use your personal data for sending press releases or other content with the aim of being featured in your publication. Your data (email addresses) is never shared with any third parties. Generally, we do not rely on direct consent as a legal ground for emailing you press releases. You have the right to withdraw consent at any time by emailing us at info@cherrydigital.co.
