Running Public Relations Campaigns in Nevada

Famously home to Las Vegas (otherwise known as sin city), the Silver State is made up of mainly desert with most of the state consumed by the Great Basin. In comparison to other states across the country, Nevada has one of the smallest populations, with just 3 million residents. Most of those residents live within Clark County, which includes the Las Vegas-Paradise area. Despite being the 4th largest producer of gold in the world, the largest economy in Nevada is tourism – which leads to a melting pot of culture in the state.

Cherry Digital has run many Nevada-specific public relations campaigns – we know the state well and its nuances. In fact, our study in 2019, based on 4 years of data found that the optimum day and time to send a press release in Nevada is 10.35am or 3.21pm on a Wednesday.

The team at Cherry Digital put together a fun catchy campaign for pet supplies website InnovetPet, which asked Americans if they would be prepared to spend more money on their pets at Christmas than on their partners. To accompany the release, the team put together an interactive map of the U.S. so that users could compare results across states. The campaign was highly successful across America featuring in both national and local publications, that included a large number of backlinks on high domain authority websites. Nevada based publication News 3 LV featured the state result, which was that one third of Silver State respondents would spend more on their pets than their partners.

Another successful campaign for InnovetPet investigated how much time Americans would be prepared to take off work to care for their sick pets. Nevada publication KTVN featured the story, and included a valuable backlink to the clients website, boosting their SEO rankings.

We ran an extremely successful local campaign for online security review website SecurityBaron.com, which showed the safest cities in each state. Not only did this story do exceptionally well across the whole of the U.S. but it was also picked up by multiple local publications in each state. In Nevada the story was shared by publications such as FOX 5 Vegas and KTNV.
